Omg the hype about oasis reunion. I notice Liam is back to his just standing inmobile singing approach. How boring.

Randomly read how Sherman Hemsley, a.k.a. George Jefferson of ’The Jeffersons was a big fan of the psychedelic rock band Gong
https://magnetmagazine.com/2009/03/05/george-jefferson-worlds-biggest-gong-fan/

Ok not really the weirdest part of the story....

Back in 1999, Sherman recorded a full album with Jon Anderson of Yes. "Festival Of Dreams", a rock opera with all the lyrics by Hemsley has never been released.

oh and another random musical fact
Robert Cray was the bass player for Otis Day and the Knights in "Animal House"

I actually recently went down a George Jefferson rabbit hole and read the same stuff. Apparently he was a big prog rock guy. Another Sherman Hensley tidbit was that he was light in the loafers.

Hopefully they get with the program and work some RATT into the show soon.

Debbie Harry got her start in a psychedelic folk band called The Wind in the Willows. 1966.
"twee folk-psych-rock"

she lists  finger cymbals as an instrument :)

Dylan would later make one of the few missteps of his life when he decided to hand it to manager Albert Grossman in exchange for a couch.

In another tv show spotting was watching the new Leah D show Too Much and wouldn’t you know the MC for the open mic was don letts!

Then Jon Wurster posts about it today… with some RATT content that apparently he directed the video for Round and Round

not casting shade, not a yellow-red card thing at all, just pointing out the coincidence:

may be of interest to some:

"It was pretty awful." Before she found fame fronting Blondie, Debbie Harry was in a 'baroque folk rock' band called The Wind In The Willows. Listen to the never-released Suzy Snowflake, the first professional recording she ever made

Debbie has to be the most photogenic person in the universe. I gotta admit I am in love with her in the  70s. So beautiful
