I would also be on the edge of my seat if I had any idea who this group is.

Bad Moves were a beloved DC based Power Pop group that played their final gig as a  band of ten years Saturday at the Black Cat.  Or did they  ;D

Three great albums and EP out, they were absolute joy to see live as they clearly enjoyed playing live total ball of energy

beyonce is just a force to be reckoned with
https://www.billboard.com/lists/boxscore-records-beyonce-broke-cowboy-carter-tour/

those are some insane stats

Beyonce:
Gross & Attendance: Approximately $407.6 million in total gross from 1.6 million tickets sold
(avg tix price $254)

Taylor Swift:
Gross & Attendance: Over $2.07 billion gross with more than 10.1 million tickets sold
(avg tix price $201)

Doing more with less, only 3.5 month tour vs TS's 21 month tour

Now if we could get them to both become democratic candidates, we'd never lose again ;)

Ugh Taylor made $1.6 billion more plus merch etc. $1.6 billion MORE

It’s not close.

Now on a per show basis and after including merch etc would be interesting to know how much each took home. Remember the gross does not all go to artist. Venues, TM, promoters, management, band, roadies, tax authorities etc take a cut

was not even close to implying that B made more?

Taylor, broke so many records, they had to make new record books
but Beyonce did some insane stats with her mini-tour

I for some reason liked that stat to compare the two tours

this was the stat
At just 32 shows, it’s the shortest tour in history to cross the $400 million threshold

You wrote she did more with less.

Am not so sure that means what you think…if Taylor had done way less shows in bigger places and charged more she would have easily replicated those numbers by Beyoncé. Think about it.

But ok. I can see what you mean

My 350lb cousin has also done more with less (or more, from a pure mass view) than Brad Pitt too.

I learned that John Coltrane lived and wrote love supreme less than 10 miles from me (albeit 6 years before I was born)

really stretching LI with Louis Armstrong, who clearly lived in queens

adding to my list of nemesis's is any band that posts a list of tour dates on the Gram and only list the city and not the venue they are playing...

apologies in advance for any PTSD caused by this

but today's deep dive nonsensical trivia is that the singer with the band Whale of  Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe "fame" was previously in a Swedish new wave group called Ubangi

here is a video of those wacky Swedes in concert

https://youtu.be/HsRf2Np5eNM

even more nonsensical per the Wikipedia = In the late 1990s, the band's official website stated that their original name was Southern Whale Cult 1987, and that several albums had previously been released under that name. This was later admitted to have been a joke; the band had copied a presentation by The Cult and simply changed the name of the band in the text
