Yeah, that sucks. I liked that place. Seeing Plants and Animals there was awesome.

It had become probably my favorite venue on account of it being a good space, having good acts, featuring a great rye selection and being close to my house. I will miss my between-set strolls down the alley behind it. DAMN that was convenient.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn!   :-[

I actually considered going in to eat there the other night.  Definitely wish I had.

A great spot.  Will miss this place.

Sad!  What a great place to see a show.

Such a bummer. Will have to go in and eat/drink one last time, maybe catch another burlesque show. I wish the guy would have sold it to someone who would keep it the way it is. Hopefully some douche spot doesn't go in there.

Never went to the Red Palace, but one time I saw King Khan and BBQ at the Red and the Black. The bartender/soundguy wouldn't turn the house music off when Khan/BBQ were scheduled to start so they had a temper tantrum. Sound was terrible so the band packed it up after 3 songs...I think the Points opened and got kicked out of the show for being too wild (the floor was going to collapse).

the concert-goer in me agrees since it's a pain to get to, but it has some nice food and beer spots that shouldn't be overlooked (granville moore's, toki, smith commons, to name a few).

Anyone been to Atlas Arcade out there? I was walking out of Toki and saw a line of dudes dressed up as old pro wrestlers but didn't get a chance to go in. Heard it's awesome.

i went last friday before high on fire. there's not many games, not much space, and the whole place is pretty meh. they have an NES hooked up at the bar though.
