Their 2010 show at DAR was excellent. Better than the 9:30 show with the New Pornos and the early Black Cat show.

That early Black Cat show blew away the Chicago show at the Metro I saw earlier on that tour. That was probably the worst show I've seen them do. Maybe second time they played Coachella was worse. I'd say my favorite part of the Black Cat show was the fact that they were sorta dressed up for Halloween...and the fact that Isobel remembered to put me on the guest list.

My favorite LP is the live version of "If You're Feeling Sinister". I still think the most underrated LP is "Fold Your Hands Child" because people say it's crap, and I find that to be totally untrue. There's some terrific stuff on there and I don't understand why people don't enjoy it.

Favorite EP: Jonathan David.

I'd say the 2 worst songs they've done are Roy Walker and The Blues are Still Blue. Yuck.

One great album and a terrible live band.

Actually, they were competent live. Just boring.

I really think the band up to Boy With the Arab Strap and what came after are two entirely different things...

Up to the Boy With the Arab Strap they could do no wrong and in a way reminded me a lot of the Smiths...

"I Know Where the Summer Goes" has to be on there somewhere, not sure where.

I love the way he sings the line:

I know you can tell me again / I've got my mobile phone / It's full of silicon chips

You'll have to watch for my end of year top 20 list.
I like the new Neil Young album.
I did say B&S did one great album. That's more than most bands do in their careers.
I also tend to like any movie where Kate Winslet or Michele Williams are naked in it, but that's another board I guess.

One great album and a terrible live band.

Actually, they were competent live. Just boring.

I pretty much agree with this. First 3 albums + 4 EPs are all great. After that more misses than hits. First half of "Life Pursuit" has some excellent songs, too. The rest, eh. And "Fold Your Hands" is as bad as everyone said it was at the time.

My favorite albums by them are Fold Your Hands, Dear Catosphre Waitress, and the Life Pursuit.  DCW probably being my favorite.   Least favorite is Tiger Milk.  But hey I have read those reviews too.

I only saw them at the MPP show.  But some 20 year old girl came up to me and told me her whole
life story during the show so I have no recollection of the actual show.

I had so much fun at their show at DAR with Sleater-Kinney.  Loved them.  they were also good at Coachella (the year with Pixies).

I've liked pretty much all of B&S's albums but the one I play the most is Push Barman with all their weirdo singles and b0sides

These are some of my favorite B&S songs:

Your Covers Blown
Seeing Other People
I Know Where the Summer Goes
Don't Leave the Light On Baby
Dylan in the Movies
Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying
