The Wall was a pretty damn good album-show, but the theatrics were obviously a big help there.  NIN doing the downward spiral at webster hall must have been pretty epic.

i'd pay big bucks to see the surviving members of Led Zep perform any album ;D

Zep is a perfect example of a band you would not want to see do an entire album.. they have at least 5 perfect albums with the others being just one step below.. they are chock full of great songs throughout their entire career and no particular album sticks out as being the "best"

Not likely to happen again, but Love's 'Forever Changes' never gets old and the live cd/dvd is stunning.
Truly the gold standard of albums re-done live.

I would attend a Trapped in the Closet Broadway show. Does this count?

Saw this at the Birchmere.  The most amazing live show I've ever seen.  Jaw-dropping.  Stunning.

I'm pretty sure no show I'll ever see will come close.

Co-signed on Chaz's experience, even my wife who is a very casual Love listener enjoyed the show.

My list

The Go - Whatcha Doin (original line-up)
Soviet League - Soviet League
Stone Roses - Second Coming
Paul Weller - either Wildwood or Stanley Road
13 Engines - Any of them
T.Rex

As for the original question, I have only one answer:

Husker Du - Zen Arcade

will never happen.

I'd go to see that.  Agree that it will never happen, though.

Can't think of anything else.
