Uh oh, having an opinion on what is too much for someone to want to pay for a show gets you jumped on around here.

(I think $38 is too much as well, its just funny what fights people pick and with who around here.  I guess some of us are second class citizens in the eyes of other board members and should not have opinions)

Yeah, I should have known better.  No worries, I ponied up.

Per Rollcall thread in reference to $25 Mudhoney tickets.  I am surprised nobody jumped on your ass on how "$38 is perfectly reasonable; they NEED to eat after all; and thats like 20 dudes between all of those bands; you cant have an opinion"

So, according to hutch and others logic (i didnt copy the SEVERAL pages), you are being cheap, SO COME ON NOW.

(I think $38 is too much as well, its just funny what fights people pick and with who around here.  I guess some of us are second class citizens in the eyes of other board members and should not have opinions)

gee, hex, think maybe people pick on you because you are so easy to rile up?  your opinions are completely valid, but coming across as butt-hurt because someone disagrees with you... well, that's just inviting more needling.

what about hutch's (or however's) right to their opinion, that the price isn't unreasonable?  looks like you want to take away their right to disagree with you.  pot, kettle?

you see some sort of conspiracy about "what fights people pick and with who" - i see one-off arguments that folks don't want, or are too lazy, to retread every time it comes up.  it's not all about you, hex.

kilsally, sorry, i thought you were being serious.  my bad.

i like "Hexenjagd" in the abstract, but in practice the name pisses me off a little because i don't know how to pronounce it.  so every time i see it i stop what i'm thinking/reading and start down the rabbit hole of "HEX-'en-yah'd? hexen-JAH-duh? hexen-ya-duh?..."

i'm easily distracted.  that nick reminds me of this unfortunate fact ;D

Eyehategod, C.O.C., High on Fire, etc.

Most expensive Ottobar ticket I ever bought,

Didn't pull the trigger on Friday for that exact reason.  GREAT line up but, geez, $38?
$18 to see them with Spirit Caravan at a 250 capacity club in Raleigh.

High on Fire is the biggest draw on that lineup
$38 is a good price if you like all 3 bands

Eyehategod, C.O.C., High on Fire, etc.

Most expensive Ottobar ticket I ever bought,

Didn't pull the trigger on Friday for that exact reason.  GREAT line up but, geez, $38?
$18 to see them with Spirit Caravan at a 250 capacity club in Raleigh.

Dont forget Ilsa! I have never heard MAGRUDERGRIND or STRONG INTENTION but they are definitely in good company.

Magrudergrind is pretty cool grindcore. I saw them at Macrock once and some crowdsurfer punched the singer in the face causing his nose to bleed....Did not stop the show haha. Strong Intention is ok but probably the worst band on the bill. Ilsa is a powerhouse of Satanic metal for sure! The ticket was 45 bucks with fees but it is just a one-off gig for all the bands and not a tour. It should be a rad show, and probably worth the price tag once all is said and done.
