Moog's Filtatron app is free today until 3pm EST. iOS only. It's a lot of fun for making racket.

they had this app for free a while back and i missed out on it.  glad to have another crack at it, but the 3 pm cutoff is a bit of a pain.

Load up a sample on the Sampler section.  Run it through through the filters and FX.  Now you are a producer.

Or just crank up the amp and feedback so that it self-oscillates (it emulates analog synth after all), then adjust other controls. If you come up with a sound that you like, save it as a preset.

Thanks. Didn't know about this one or the Magellan. I already had their original Minisynth plus Thereminator.

What's thereminator?  sounds fun!

It emulates a theremin

And here's another favorite: Bebot

I've heard this used in some Sufjan Stevens tracks but offhand can't remember which ones.

I haven't tried Magellan on my iphone, just iPad and it's in my top three for iOS synths.
If you're into the MiniMoog sound and have an iPad, iminiSynth is 1/2 off right now at $10.
