Was just reading the File Under: Easy Listening chapter of Bob Mould's book today. He surprisingly wasn't crazy about how it came out and felt as though the process was rushed. I think it holds up pretty well even given the hilarious lifting of entire musical phrases from MBV; the most obvious being "Your Favorite Thing."
seriously...I remember talking to Bob beore his solo show at Georgetown and he talked about Loveless and how it wouldn't be fully appreciated for 20 years.. I find FUEL to be a big letdown....
another album I think was top notch but nobody has mentioned is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Let Love In.....superlative.. I can remember buying that at the old Tower Records in Tyson and being blown away...
I guess Guided By Voices Bee Thousand has also been mentioned....
and how about the Mountain Goats Zopilote Machine?
so many albums that came out in 1994 had a big impact on me...
