So, I take very seriously all the feedback I get about my forum career and I certainly appreciate the litany of Private Messages you all send me telling me I'm "saving our community," and so forth. But occasionally, people point out ways I can improve everyone's forum experience even moreso. One thing people have pointed out is I seem to lack some sort of catch-phrase or stereotypic idiosyncrasy that people can look forward to me saying semi-regularly and that I could say on the iphone if they were to meet me. Vansmack has his pink taco, walkie has his cat photos, and Rhett can always call someone a porky midget or give a thorough review of an event he did not attend. But I have nothing to fall back on.
I've been kicking this around for a while and I really can't come up with one that seems perfect. I sort of like the line from Oliver Stone's JFK where Costner goes "we are through the looking glass here, people!" and I could see saying that in response to others' clear stupidity. I can always fall back on "Happy Day, bitch!," but I think sweets technically was the first person to say it.I've also been kicking around "the Ladies at the yacht club shall hear of this!" Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm a big believer in the power of crowdsourcing.
