META: Unresolved Sexual Tension?
« on: January 21, 2014, 12:47:24 pm »
So, I've been thinking a lot about common tropes and was thinking how our board would benefit from some sort of will-they-or-won't-they style couple. I think it'd really keep people coming back and reading regularly.

Any ideas who we can couple up? Do we want to try a traditional heterosexual couple are we open to some sort of LGBT couple. Also would it be even more appealing if the more feminine one is able to tell a joke?

I think you are out of luck on the heterosexual couple as that would require a female board member.

We have several females here. And we only need one. Or at most, two.

What's META mean?
A post labelled meta is self-referential. Instead of being about music or child rearing or some outside topic, it's about the board itself or posts about how we post.

What's META mean?

It's Julian's shorthand for "ME Thirst for Attention"

I will have to say, I do like the name change to "Community Organizer".

I don't think there are any single women on this board. Though I didn't think too hard about it. And I think every guy i know from this board is partnered in some way.

My wife once set up one of her male friends with an ex of mine on a blind date. They ended up getting married and having three kids. That's one way to get your boyfriend's ex out of the picture.

have you never seen a sitcom with UST? The number one reason it's unresolved is usually because one or more of the participants are already in a relationship with someone they're ultimately ill-suited for. Ask not who is single; ask who is in a potentially crappy relationship.

UST?

I would guess that stands for "Unresolved Sexual Tension" as it is the title of this thread.

She was just someone I dated briefly and it morphed into a friendship. Maybe I use the word "ex" too liberally. But calling her an "ex" makes for a better story, doesn't it?
