My in-laws own horses. They moved from the Chicago burbs to the Indiana sticks so that they could own a horse farm. That makes my father in law's commute 90 mins each way. I guess he must really love his wife and daughter, who are the actual horse people.

My wife and I have no interest in horses, but my daughter loves to watch My Little Pony. I'm not a Brony and don't share the affection.

man I just got this from my 6 year old's class...disturbing...

Dear Parents

Today I had to step in during art because the class was not listening to the art teacher.  Students were running around the room yelling and, crawling on tables.
PE was ended before time was up because of behaviors.  The PE teacher tried putting students in time out and talking to students but that did not work.

We have had several class meeting in the room today about yelling and not following directions.

I am sorry I have to send this to the entire class because a few students are making good choices, however the majority are not.  I realize that we are excited about spring break but students still need to be respectful to all of their teachers.

Please talk to your child to night about good choices at school.

Thank you and have a great night!

wait until those kids grow up and become adults . . . then they won't care about anything, and they have to work all the time.  I always enjoyed the theory that we, as people, are programmed to work from the start.

In the ultimate acts of rebellion, our 12 year old told us she wanted to start watching football and going to church. Football season is over and I think she's forgotten about the church thing, but damn, parenting is tough.

Sounds like a blog post I'd like to read.
