indeed it would be, i'm a fan of plenty of other questionable music. but: i'm not a fan, i'm not a hater... i'm just haven't heard any of their work. i literally could not name one of their songs. i can name a few of their albums because they're discussed here so often.
for the fun of it i googled "what is ween's most popular song", and based off that i listened to Ocean Man, Push th' Little Daisies and Transdermal Celebration. no idea how representative that is. i liked the guitar wingly-wangly. the singing didn't work for me. overall i thought those 3 songs were good, but not necessarily something i'm going to track down and buy.
my main "exposure" to ween, other than this thread, is a co-host on a podcast that i've been listening to for years who is a huge fan. they never play any ween on the show (that i know of) but he's constantly bringing it up, sometimes asking guests if they're into ween, making references to ween lyrics that no one gets, etc. overall he's the most annoying of the hosts so it's made me less interested in seeking them out...
