Fortunately, this only has a couple of my secret music stash sites. Last thing I want is for them to get widely publicized.

i remember the good ole days, when people would bop their head with biker shorts and lots of pink on, and say, "why the mall you silly."  that's where all the cool things are.

Perhaps off-topic, but I'm looking for the 930 forum thread regarding eMusic. Can one of you super-search-sleuths provide a link?

I usually find stuff on other forums for bands I like...  Like minded people seem to like similar music.  Who knew?

funny, i think of it as music evolution.  i like the fact that i don't have to trudge down to an over AC'ed mall several miles away to get new music that is shrink-wrapped in too much plastic.  i do miss the album art, but tapes and CDs have done a decent job of killing that art form anyways.

the convenience of having an album when i want is way cool.  technology is good.

I refuse to shop at malls anymore. I only go to fashion parks, and even then, if they have any carts in the aisles with filthy street urchins and begger children panhandling goddamned lotions, I'm out.

people don't interact with people anymore.  they don't go out.  they stay home and micromanage their brain into a hardwired, drugged up online order form.  then they kill each other like in the running man.

I have NEVER stepped foot in a Walmart. My parents were/are crazy hippies and we were never allowed to shop there when I was a teenager.

They interact with each other at concerts put on by bands whose music they've downloaded.

Roughly 80-90% of the shows I've been to in recent years were bands I found out about on the internet somehow.
