This was just a bizarro announcement…I wonder what the backstory is? Someone f’ed up

Are Hamilton shows even sold out?

Ryan is so burnt toast…

The Hamilton takes territorial exclusivity seriously. If he was booked at both Tysons and Hamilton Live, the latter may have informed him it is either them or us. I personally know of a touring blues musician within the past few years who booked a NoVa gig a few days before a scheduled Hamilton show and Hamilton unceremoniously cancelled his contract.

Why haven't we discussed that bum Ryan Adams' canceled show at Tysons Corner?
had not heard anything about this
Thought it was odd to do Hamilton and the Tyson’s thing
Has anyone been to that new Tyson’s venue

It's probably low ticket sales. Tysons venue is large.

But it’s the same market.  Ten miles apart. I think someone didn’t figure on the proximity between the venues.

I 100% agree, they are so close and the dates were close
I thought it was odd from day one, he can still draw enough to fill the Hamilton, nearly sold out the Strathmore around 2 years ago
so I don't think his draw is the issue (at least at that sized venue

interesting that they have two venues in there
Capital One Hall has two theaters: the 1,600-seat Main Theater and the 225-seat black box Vault Theater.

just checked, there are now two dates at the Hamilton 9/19 9/20
and the 19th is sold out

did also see he has a number of other canceled/postponed shows on ticketbastard
IN, OK and AL dates in aug canceled
VT, OR and NJ postponed

Hot Take: Skip Ryan and go see Clem Snide. You'll probably get a better show.

considering they are on different dates, not sure this was a decision anyone was mulling

also...between when we started talking about this, both hamilton shows are now sold out

big fan of both, and I pretty much sure you'd get a better show at RA, like not even close
now RA has his share of lame shows, he has not really done that kind of shtick for a while
shows as of late have been 2 hour long affairs with songs from all over the catalog, focusing mostly on fan favs and a few deep cuts and great cover selections

last time I saw Eff, it was barely 1 hour, with only about 1/3rd set of songs I knew
I will probably go, but I'm going to say your take, may be hot, doesn't mean it's accurate
you can confidently say one will be a lot cheaper than the other

Ok, clearly I should be focusing on more important things
but was trying to figure what one of the lesser board bishop was referring to
Maybe a ref to INIKO, who is at the club on 10/11?

Even enlisted ChatGPT's deep reasoning o3 model, which investigated advanced ciphers ...

welp, The most straightforward reading is that each 6‑letter block is just three U.S. postal abbreviations run together:

200 sounds a bit low, but your point is still valid.

The Hamilton Live, located in Washington, D.C., has a capacity of 600 for general admission events, according to The Hamilton Live. For seated events, the capacity is 300, says The Hamilton Live. The venue is known for its intimate setting and diverse musical acts, from Grammy-winning artists to local talent.

Ryan is very high risk…not quite Moz level but a lot of risk

1. Show cancellation risk
2. Drunk at show turns into 🤡 risk
3. Flips out at show risk

(2 and 3 can be related)

Hopefully he plays these shows but given how small they are you have to think possibility of blowoff cancellation is high. He is also playing West Virginia

first show sold out months ago
not sure why there wasn't an announcement about the second show, but that also sold out
600 is the capacity is my understanding, but it is a small venue

now I'm definitely not going to argue that his star is not fading dramatically

he headlined MPP in 2017

he has been sober going on 2 years now, but he did recently have a blow up at a European show
trust me, those types of shows were much more commonplace for almost 2 decades
I would have actually seen Whiskeytown at the bayou if not for a this common occurrence (I think they played 2-3 songs)

the WV show already happened...don't think it was well attended at all

He just played a packed Massey Hall (cap 2750), not sure if it sold out, but it was full

You are writing like a fanboy not a reality based observer.

I can tell you not that long ago they had some barstools available at the Hamilton.

Anyways I get it …as a fan the Hamilton will be great…and he is performing Heartbreaker so how bad can it be?

Thing is he has been a train wreck for a long time in many respects . You probably don’t follow how he has been releasing music on his label. Very shoddy mastered from low quality mp3s. Over promises stuff all the time and doesn’t deliver product.
