Have you heard this new single off her upcoming "first pop album"? Its literally a song about what its like to be Taylor Swift. She is under the impression that people want to listen to a song about what its like to be Taylor Swift -- minus the parts about being rich, famous, beautiful, et cetra and solely contained to dealing with "the haterz". She has completely, completely missed the mark of what her target audience wants, and if there's anything Taylor has undeniably been good at, its been reading her target audience.

And then the music video is insanely cheesy. Its that "we can't figure out a concept so we're going to make 20 0:12 videos and put them all together complete with 20 different outfits" motif you've seen a trillion times.

It's terrible. I'm totally in the tank for Taylor Swift, unabashedly, but that song is awful. Its not catchy, its thematically far from her brand, its downright cloying. I have no idea what in holy hell she's doing.
