Perhaps we should institute a ratings system to measure the effectiveness of each comment on how well it builds (or destroys) community.

Why don't we move this entire board to a dedicated subreddit so we can upvote and downvote topics and comments and make sure the cream rises to the top? I think it's an excellent idea.

+4.  Nice to think outside the box, but I believe in order to get more credit for community building, you need to move from the brainstorming phase to the consensus building phase.

If you want to effect change and build community, you'll need more than just ideas.  Maybe you're just full of ideas, though.  If you need more time, let me know.
