Mother fuck. If I could skip two days out of the year, it would be the two days I go to the dentist.

I went yesterday to replace a cracked filling... clenching/grinding.

One crown and $1800 later, my mouth still feels like hell this morning.

Godspeed, hutch.

Admittedly, I'm obsessive about teeth cleaning. Brush a minimum three times a day, haven't missed a day of flossing in years (even when I'm hammered). I just have bad teeth genes, sports injuries, etc.

Why do you go to a dentist in another state?

I didn't go to the dentist for like 6 years or something..then my partner convinced me to see her dentist and he's in Rockville....Anyways I've kept seeing him regularly except for this past year.... I think my accident had something to do with me getting off the schedule.... and then they switched secretaries and there was some incompetence setting up the new appt... anyways...today is the day.....

the only incentives to going are the five guys right next to the place and also the second story books warehouse which has some vinyl..though it tends to be of the barry manilow variety... come to think of it not sure i have time to check it out today....

I woke up while having my wisdom teeth removed.

I remember my head being jerked, hearing a really loud crunch, groaning, and then the dentist said "oh shit.."

I presumed they then turned up the anesthesia and knocked me back out.

Oh my.

When I had mine out, it was like full on surgery... It didn't take place at the dentist's office.

What a weird coincidence.  I went to the dentist yesterday, after having missed 2 6-month checkups.  They yelled at me for not doing a good enough job of taking care of my teeth.

My hand shook when I read that.

I save my serious dentistry work for when I have FSA dollars left at the end of the year.  It's an incentive to keep solid records and not waste pre-tax dollars...

I can contribute to this!  I have an appointment tomorrow morning for a cleaning! It should be fun!  I love my dentist's office, and have used the same one since 2005 (even when I was living a good ways away from the office).

I would think walkie would like any topic where a man jams a hard object in a semi-conscious other man's mouth.
