Distance is pretty badass and the fact he doesn’t really go to concerts or post here anymore only makes me respect him more.

defintely not badass.   i suppose i post a bit now.  one day i'll go to some concerts again, i'm sure.  the concert stuff does feel like a lifetime ago, though.

i've seen radiohead 12 times (but nothing in the last ~20 years), but that maryland show is the only one less than 300 miles from my house.
distance...going the distance!

he's going for speed, while ms. distance is all alone (all alone)

started using this name summer 95 -- like a year before that song.  could not tell you how many times i've seen that reference over the past three decades.  i suppose a chosen name could have aged far, far worse.

What makes a music fan stop going to concerts? Yes, this forum isn't the norm, but do not even go to a few shows a year?

depending on the time frame we're talking about, lack of money, lack of time, lack of desire to deal with late nights/travel, the cost of everything else outside of the shows has gone up so much, esp hotels (i've been fortunate to not have to pay for some of my shows so the cost was everything else).

i haven't been to a show since 2016.  been tempted a number of times, but just haven't gone.   only 7 total since the calendar rolled over to 2010.  hardly been to shows since smartphones got big so i'm imagining that's made some things worse.

if we can get aphex twin back at the club and i can get tickets, i won't pass that up! (non-dj set again, please)

i also think my passion for music started waning a bit -- but i think it's coming back -- in digging into other old music.  not related to anything current.
