This week in concert history in 2003 I saw my first Pearl Jam concert at the old Civic Arena in Pittsburgh. We also saw the Flaming Lips the next night perform songs off their epics Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi albums.

4/30/1997   The Boo Radleys @ 9:30

How was this show?  I always wanted to see them live but never got the chance.

I really enjoyed it...extremely cranked guitar. This was NOT the "Wake Up Boo" Boo Radleys, though I think they played that. They played most of "C'Mon Kids" and but they really didn't play any older stuff (which is my favorite). I think they only tune they did from Giant Steps was "Lazarus", and it sounded amazing. That being said, it was a super fun show and the evening continued at the Backbar. I still have pics from that night. They were all really great guys.

This is pretty much what I remember them playing. Get on the Bus was really loud, angry...it was great.

I was at the Wilco show. Can't believe it was 2002! It was so packed I couldn't see the band. But, it sounded perfect.

I believe Wilco also played the Recher in 2000 or so... they played a lot of songs from Mermaid Avenue 2 which was one of the only times they did so....

Recher was always a fun venue to see a show at.....
