2009-05-31   Phish   Fenway Park Boston
2014-05-31   Pat DiNizio   Club 66  Edgewood MD
2006-06-01    Radiohead     Tower Theater   Upper Darby, PA
2011-06-01   EELS    The Galaxy Theater   Santa Ana, CA

2007-06-02   Junior Brown   Rams Head Annapolis

2008-06-05   Tom Petty & Heartbreakers/Steve Winwood  Wachovia Center Philly
2009-06-05   Dean & Britta   Black Cat
1988-06-05    Thomas Dolby and the Lost Toy People   930 Club

that Thomas Dolby gig was my only show at the old 930 Club, and it was interesting all around.... there was almost a fight because one guy was dancing so exuberantly he kept bumping into and/or stepping on peoples feet and another guy politely asked him not keep bumping into his girlfriend.... dancing guy was ready to throw down right then and there, kept yelling "I'LL KNOCK YOU OUT!!!"... I'd never expect fisticuffs at a Thomas Dolby show..... anyway,  I thought the show was pretty great, but at some point, my GF felt a little faint from the heat, so we went downstairs for a little while where we could sit and watch the show on the closed circuit tv.... the opening band was sitting next to us, and they were just making all kinds of fun at Dolby's expense, I remember them skewering him during "I Scare Myself", singing it in mocking falsetto voices .... not cool in my book..... then, to put a cap on things, we looked up and there was Robert Downey, Jr coming down the steps.....  all in all, a memorable night for this young suburbanite....  :)

Nice!

Of the many shows I have seen at Red Rocks, that remains my favorite.  Next one up is Belle and Sebastian with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in a few weeks.

2008-06-13  My Bloody Valentine    ICA, London UK
2009-06-13  Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood  Verizon Center DC

a couple of things about the above.... the Death Cab thing I went to was a pre-show soundcheck for WRNR listeners, not to the show itself later that night....  second, a sidenote relating to that My Bloody Valentine gig.... they had announced a reunion tour, first time they were gonna play together in I-don't-know-how-many years..... then, about a month before that tour was gonna start, they announced a couple of warm-up gigs in London.... since I was already going to be in London then, I managed to snag tix for the first one.... went to the show, and at the end, the setlist was lying on the soundboard, so I snapped a photo of it and posted it on Flickr.... now, I'd been taking a camera into shows for quite awhile, have gotten some decent shots and a few compliments here and there on some of my concert photos.... so what is by far the MOST viewed photo on my Flickr page???.... not any of the concert "action shots", but the photo of that setlist, with 9700 views, apparently it created quite a stir in the MBV world..... second most views for any photo on my page is 3900....   :)
