definitely stings ... no doubt about it, a bad loss, but it's only november and we're still working out the kinks

the terps are actually looking pretty damn good this year, but the fact remains that georgetown has and will p3ned them in local recruiting for the foreseeable future (with incredibly inferior facilities), and that's one of the best barometers for the overall health of a program

Pitt still won by 11 after a sluggish first half... it was their third game in three days.

I just think the Hoyas fans should be concerned by their suspect backcourt...just a public service announcement, that's all...

We only tolerate public service announcements with guitars on this board.

Oh Pitt, 16-0 every year and can't get past that pesky sweet sixteen.

Point taken...but this is the first year since 2001 where I really think this team has the depth and attitude to reach the Final Four. And even though Pitt won't be 16-0 this year, it'll be a good thing because they've put together a challenging nonconference schedule that will have the team ready come tournament time.

That matchup with Wisconsin on Dec. 16 is gonna be a battle.

Didn't Oakland play 3 games in 3 days as well?

Terps are 6-0, ranked 25th..  They won the Coaches for Cancer tourn. beating Michigan State and St Johns..  I think they will at least make the NCAA this year.  The Sultan of Sweat returns.

I realize Pitt won all 3, but the statement was made like an excuse for Pitt's narrow margin of victory over Oakland... "it was their third game in three days."  I was merely stating that it 3 in 3 days for all teams involved.  In fact, one could argue that it was tougher for Oakland than Pitt.  Afterall, Pitt won by 26 the first night, 17 the next.  They hardly should have been tired, having not had to play a 40 minute competitive game.  Oakland did play 2 fairly competitive games the first 2 nights, having to play their starters the entire time.
Of course, don't take this like I am an Oakland fan, just not a huge BCS fan, so I don't like to give credit to a BCS school at the expense of a non-BCS school.  It was 3 games in 3 days for all, but they are 18-22 year olds, they should be able to do that.
