I liked the part where the midget put the ring on and Hermione smiled coquettishly and then the grinchs heart grew three sizes.

There was nothing here like "Chewie, we're home."

"Chewie, we're home" was in the Force Awakens teaser #2.  Not the first teaser.   Give them time.

The money shot was Luke muttering that it's time for the jedi to end.

That was Kylo who said that.  Leave this thread.

That was Kylo who said that.  Leave this thread.

As usual, the AV Club said it better:

People very much disagree that it?s time for the Jedi to end

goodness these quotes just made me laugh so hard I woke my sleeping family

But more importantly, it confirmed that the title isn?t referring to the last Jedi (as in ?We?re happy you?re leasing this apartment. The last Jedi we had in here was a real asshole?), but rather, the final Jedi.
and

Still, ?Fuck That, My Watch Says It?s Still Jedi O?Clock? is a pretty compelling argument

My friend also brought up that Jedi is both singular and plural, so it could be a BUNCH of Jedi and not just A Jedi.

Unless Luke dies and Ren is the..... LAST JEDI.

I've never even seen the last 6-ish of these films made for children and obviously that's what it means. Disney did not buy Star Wars to end it.

Well, if they've already killed off Han Solo, I'm not sure the internet can handle the rage of SW nerds complaining about Luke Skywalker dying too.

I guess we'll find out in 8 months!

Getting rid of Harrison Ford's character is an inevitability because the actor is in his mid-to-late 70s. Han Solo had limited time left in the films' narrative universe regardless of whether the character's passing is a result of death via space ninjas or old age.

On the other hand, Disney has a vested interest to keep space ninjas -- the primary conceit of a series of films they paid billions of dollars for the right to make more of -- around. You don't pay billions of dollars to buy the right to space ninjas only to then get rid of space ninjas.

Seems likely that Leia has to die in the Last Jedi for obvious reasons. That being the case, there's no way they kill Luke off as well. I just can't imagine them offing both Luke and Leia in the same movie. They're going to want to drag that out as long as possible.

They could both come back more powerful than you could possibly imagine.

Yeah, and what exactly did hologram Obi Wan actually accomplish? Just acted like a Jewish Grandmother to Luke, being all bossy and telling him what to do.

Did he try to send soup back in a deli?
