Carly Rae Jepsen
I am not super familiar with her music. I was definitely not listening to pop music when "Call Me Maybe" dropped (my love of certain pop stars like Miley, JB, and SOMETIMES Tay, is a new development) but I could not escape it and find it to be catchy. I did recently listen to most of her new EP, and thought it was well written and produced and had a vaguely 80s vibe to the tracks I listened to (though with 2010s production and sheen), and I should finish it. I had to search for a picture of her and she is good looking, so that is always a plus for a pop star.

The cartoon band? They are before my time. I cant comment on their music.
Bananarama
Another one before my time... I mainly know them from razor commercials and catching a random song here and there on SiriusXM's classic alternative channel. They are cool, I do not instantly skip them when I see their name pop up on my satellite radio. I have been on a big 80s kick since last summer though, so that helps.
