Nationals Opening Day
« on: March 04, 2008, 11:08:00 am »
I guess I severely underestimated what the demand for these would be.  I just spent the better part of an hour in the "virtual waiting room" and never did manage to get through before it came up as sold out.

While everyone else was in the virtual waiting room, I got some pretty good seats for the 6/28 O's - Nats game.  Anxious to check out the new park.

We were able to pull up seats pretty quickly and were told we had about 3:00 to fill in the required info to purchase tickets.  After about 30 seconds the screen refreshed automatically and said we had timed-out.   After that, I got to the "select the number of seats" screen a few times, but that was always followed by a second waiting room or a soldout message.

 Got nothing.   :(

I had 2 computers going and 2 of my buddies were also trying.  I was the only one of us who got through and managed to get 3 tickets in section 403, 2nd to last row.  Basically I'm as far away from the field as you can be at the park

I looked on stubhub and asshole are selling the 10 dollar tickets I bought for 150 bucks each.

The park looks cool coming across the river...saw it while driving home from Annapolis tonight. They need to replace a couple bulbs in the Nationals sign, though.

It's weird how it comes right up to south capitol street. Peeking in as I drove by made me excited for opening day (have a ticket since my dad and I do the 20 game pack).

Are tickets available for just the O's Spring Training game?  Or do they have to be bought as a bigger package?
