 Cathal Coughlan and the Grand Necropolitan Quartet 'Rat Poison Rendevous'
 The Automatic 'Raoul'
 The Howling Bells 'Setting Sun'
 Jarvis Cocker 'Cunts are still running the world'
 Blow Up Hollywood 'WMD'
 The Secret Machines 'I Hate Pretending'

 Gomez 'How We Operate'...probably a minute too long but still a great song and great inro/build-up
 Camera Obscura 'Lloyd I'm ready to be heartbroken'
 Matthew Sweet/Susanna Hoffs 'Alone Again Or'.....yes Vulnerable Bede I know its an old song....
 The Dears 'Death or life we want you'
 The Essex Green 'Uniform' and 'Rabbit' are this weeks favorites, I think its interesting we all have a different favorite for these guys - shows how strong the album is
 Paul Kelly and the Stormwater Boys 'Little Boy Don't Lose Your Balls'
 Chris Whitley and Bastard Club 'Are Friends Electric?'

Honestly, I think that is the strongest album put out this year.  For awhile I thought it was going to be TVOTR. but this is the one I keep coming back to time and time again.

though i agree with many of the songs so far, i actually prefer:
 
 camera obscura: if true looks could kill
 secret machines: alone, jealous, and stoned (one of the best opening songs ive ever seen)
 neko case: maybe sparrow
 
 there are others i like but i cant think of them right now.  a lot of poppier songs like the cardigans: i need some fine wine and you you need to be nicer.
