People actually shopped in Smash? In my 11 years in DC I never once stepped in there.  But then again I avoided Georgetown, although when I did go I kind of liked CD Warehouse.

I used to shop at the original Smash all the time.  By the time they moved down the street I was listening to a lot less punk, so I only hit that one a few times a year, but I always came away with a ton of music.   The new location seems to lack something.  I've only been there once and wasn't too impressed.   Maybe I need to check it out again.

Also, TCBY was the shit back in the day, esp. after my Little League games in the hot Chicago summers.
Wait...Smash isn't in G-town anymore?  I took me 15 years to adjust to them moving across the street and now this?

 Guess i'm slow.

I bought a Pantera disc at CD Warehouse and the music on it was Apartment Life by Ivy.  It was for a roadtrip that started then.  After I got over the initial let down it was kind of funny.  The actual CD had the Cowboys From Hell artwork on it and everything but the music was all wrong.  I still have it filed under I next to the real Apartment Life disc.
