System of a Down although I bet that was like a once in a life time deal.
And The Mars Volta, also probably a once in a life time deal. Even though I just saw Reel Big Fish again (saw em 3 months ago) tonight, they need to come back. Again. Well, maybe in another 3 months. Fine by me.

After the Dude of Life at the old 9:30, this was the lamest show I've ever been to at the club. It was sorta fun for about 10 minutes, but then we realized, he's playing records and jumping up and down. Free tickets, and we got our buzz on beforehand, so no big loss.

Trust me they more than played their fair share of shows in the area. We needed a break from them.

It is because of all the gear they bring along.  I saw them in Seattle in 2004 and they said as much at the end of the show.  But they also said they would be back around 'in a couple of years'

apparently they claim it's 'too expensive' for them to tour north america and make money.
it doesn't seem to be a problem for a lot of other bands with smaller followings. [/b]

Yeah, I really regret missing that one. I saw em at Coachella last year, but I'm sure that doesn't compare to the Black cat show.
