Didn't they play there last year?  I got their album after seeing them in Baltimore opening for someone (Keane maybe?). [/b]
They played DC at the beginning of 2005 with some now forgotten britrock band... [/b]
Hahaha...

They opened for The Libertines at the 9:30 Club. It was in April '05. Odd that I remember that considering that I wasn't there.

I too would love to see Portishead.

And YES!, Baltimore does count considering all of you DC snobs would think nothing of expecting those of us in Baltimore to schlep it down for any given show.

the libertines only played at the 930 club once which was in october 04. and radio 4 opened for them then (and if i remember right, british sea power opened for them at the black cat) i think the features opened for kings of leon in febuary last year though.

i'd love love love if the brian jonestown massacre would tour more of the east coast and a date in DC would be most welcomed

Smartbomb kinda broke up a long time ago. They did a reunion show I want to say 2 years ago though when Ebo called it quits.
Both singers in that band are in Quitter  UK, which played the 9:30 in January.
