Amen to that.  I think it's a slim chance they will ever come back to the states though.

I'm with you on the Stooges, their set at Randalls Island in '04 was my favorite show that year.  The Sword's overhyped asses are playing with Clutch in Baltimore for NYE, catch em now before there's no money to be made in metal and they jump off to another trend.

err...umm...

i heavily second Radiohead (in DC), Manic Street Preachers, Bjork...

would maim/manually graze someone with a bullet to see:

 Portishead (!!!)
 Mars Volta again (slim chance)
 Sneaker Pimps
 De La Soul
 EPMD
My Bloody Valentine (somehow -- please)
 Primal Scream
 New Order
Filter again (whenever Army of Anyone gets put aside)
Smashing Pumpkins (if their reunion is legit)

i know that i'm forgetting some people -- namely UK ones b/c i've given up on so many bands ever touring or returning to DC. arrgh.

Shpongle: might wanna check the title of this thread... i'm fairly sure that simon has never played DC.  getting him, raja and the required musicians for a live shpongle set is nearly impossible (only been done once or twice, only in japan i believe).  having heard two shpongle dj sets, i'd certainly welcome another one as the next best thing   :)

Postishead: great band that i'd LOVE to see, but have they ever played DC?

AIR: we'll have better luck there as they'll be touring in spring 2007 (but again, have they ever played DC before?)

Tragically Hip - yeah!  and since we're at it, how about sarah mclachlan?  been years since i've seen her (and yes, i'm assuming she's played DC in the past - fairly safe bet)

I thought the Sneaker Pimps played in the last year or two.  Primal Scream was there for the XTERMINATOR tour with Kevin Shields.  Would love to see them again.

Air has been here at least twice (10,000 hz tour and Talkie Walkie tour). Both times were great (AMAZING sound) and I'm looking forward to seeing them in 2007 (hopefully at 9:30 again).
