this has to happen if he tours with grinderman. that album just leaked and it's sounding very, very good. the last couple bad seeds shows at the club have been among the best shows i've ever seen. the last few times he's come around he's done only a few east coast cities. we need him here in d.c.

 holy shit!!

 a) best and most desperate western i've seen in a long time
 b) one of the most violent non-asian movies i've seen in a while

really great stuff, and even more surprising to see the screenplay was written by nick cave

i thought it was good, but not great, perhaps due to unfairly high expectations. my fave movie is "dead man," another atypical western with a score by one of the all-time greats, and "the proposition" was no "dead man."

cave writes a lot of shit. i read his book "and the ass saw the angel," really faulkner-y in the whole southern gothic and you have no idea what's going on for pages at a time way.

Really? Have you seen "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" ? That movie's way better than "The Proposition".

it's actually up next in my blockbuster queue, looking forward to it ... i just loved how absolutely desperate "the proposition" was, it felt like all these people were constantly on the brink of survival, and the director did a great job of capturing that ... and the performances were really top notch ...

haven't seen it but I'm not surprised it was written by nick cave.....many of his songs involve a lot of violence going back to his days with the birthday party, and like BookerT said his book has some seriously weird shit in it.....

that was the only time I have seen him, and it was a fantastic show, unfortunately I doubt he will come to Portland if he does tour again soon

WTF it's been way overdue that Clutch hasn't played in DC in quite sometime. They're usually good for once every 5-6 months but nothing for an end of the year show in DC.

Filter was a horrible show last time they played. Very disappointing. I hope with him sober now it will be better, I'll give him another chance  ;)

Girls Against Boys would be nice to see again back "home"
