Lies is trash, it's only got "patience" going for it.  spaghetti incident is entirely forgettable - who the hell has listened to it since 1994?

i will continue to defend my hot take that chinese democracy better than those two.  it's what a contemporary g'n'r album should sound like.  yes it was over-produced and gaudy and wasn't a fraction as good as Appetite... what did you expect?  still better than Lies and Spaghetti.  but i get it, its hip to exclusively like the old stuff...

i disagree with what you say, but i shall defend to the death your right to say it.

Appetite is a classic hard rock album.  axl himself has aged horribly, by that gem from 1987 still stands up.
