I saw the last song and a half.  I liked it.  Kosmo pointed out that he thought it was awfully formulaic, and I pointed out that it happens to be the formula I love....power poppy punk.  I didn't see enough to really recommend them or not.  Now I wish I'd gone ahead and picked up the CD at the show.  I have a cool sticker if anyone's interested.

yeah, they said it was coming out the 18th.  although someone was working through the crowd between sets soliciting thoughts on the kicks show and passing out a 4 song cd sampler.  one of the songs was mir, the kicks single.  i think another song was from ambulance ltd.  can't recall the other two songs.

concur on the assement of The Kicks... Very much in the Jimmy Eat World formula.  big hooks, little screaming, with a bit of southern boogie lurking in the shadows.  Certainly better than the Thursday ilk...  Sloan still Kicked thier asses back to the bayou

lame commentary...but a few weeks ago when I saw The Kicks' huge promo sign at Tower promoting the new album, I recalled MxPx's album cover. What's up w/ album covers and belt buckles this year? Are there more?
