glad to hear it.  be strong, you can beat this.

Although……I been running the gamut of emotions over the past month from fear to pity to sadness to shock to bitterness to relief to hope…you name it I have felt it.

i went through something similar starting about 3 months ago, i.e. at the start of the ukraine/russia war (i need to write about it at some point...).  the good news, for me, was that eventually i ran out of that energy.   i was driving myself insane, and managed to step out of it - thanks, in part, to the support of friends.  hopefully your faith in science will further reinforce you, too.
