so much winning

Federal appeals court unanimously rules Trump has no presidential immunity from lawsuits by Capitol police et al over his incitement of the Jan 6 rioters to riot.

Chef’s kiss: 1 of the 3 judges was his Deputy White House Counsel until Trump made him a judge.

Opinion  A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.

So tired of these arguments…

If Democrats spent 1/100th of the energy they spend fearmongering -whether true or not- talking about what they aim to do to make Americans’ lives better…maybe they could win but if all you do is offer doomsday scenarios if Trump wins….well Trump will win!

Have we learned nothing from 2016 and all kinds of elections elsewhere? I mean Milei won in Argentina after the same fearmongering about how he is going to be a dictator…a guy with virtually zero experience and kind of crazy acting won 56-44! People want real solutions to problems not a bunch of “OMG if Trump wins it’s the end of the world!!” The more people say that the more turned off people get towards Biden.

Nobody except inside the beltway people and political junkies cares about democratic institutions….most people want to pay their bills and feel good about how things are going to go….

Regardless it’s all I hear from Democrats….. scaremongering

The D campaign is Trump MAGA extremism and abortion abortion abortion. It worked in Virginia so they are going to double down. I think it’s a mistake to only tell people what to vote against. I think it’s a loser.

Well I think immigration is a losing issue for the Dems, trans stuff is a losing issue, and the economy is whatever people are feeling personally. What else do they have to run on?

They should run on a platform of very specific ways of bringing back the American Dream. Too many Americans are stuck living paycheck to paycheck. They need to tack left (on the economy and education). Just saying “the other guys are crazy” isn’t going to cut it. Not only that, it leaves you poorly positioned to actually get anything done if you win. Democrats need new ideas!

I agree with you, but do most people have the bandwidth to pay attention anymore? I'm on social media enough to see that the country has been reduced to goobers hating on trans people and illegals and Dems hating on Trump. And that's politics to them.

I agree but I thought Hutch's point was that all they are running on is MAGA extremism and abortion, so they needed to find talking points *other than* these two issues.

And maybe run on what you'd do to protect the abortion rights and not what bad things the other guys will do.

how he was able to keep this up this long highlights the repubs complete lack of discipline:

Sen. Tommy Tuberville drops his hold on hundreds of military nominees

the GOP isn't a political party, it's a loose coalition of media attention whores and low-grade authoritarians.
