make a list of the most obvious albums and then make sure it looks edgy by including the most obvious critical acclaimed ones that no one bought the first time around... burial, kraftwerk, patti smith, velvet underground... and oh lets be super edgy and put Amy Winehouse's way overproduced by Mark Ronson album in the top 10
at first glance it seemed like it has those albums that turned some of the artists who had success and were playing club/theater sized venues into arena and above level acts.. i.e kacey, the cure, oasis, talking heads, radiohead
certainly looks like a group artists and "experts" being presented the Rolling Stone's best 500 album list and told to choose their favorites..
and just once wouldn't it be nice of these so called experts had ever listened to an "outlier" like Bangwagonesque, "Especially For You", or "DIfferent Class" or really sretch and discover Calibro 35's S.P.A.C.E. for instance...
