Feds take over DC police.

A crummy day for DC residents so the rest of America celebrates.

One of Trump’s big things for DC is to clear all the homeless….i assume they will end up in Montgomery and Prince George’s county

works out perfectly for Trump, as if it was handed to him on a plater
I mean the republicans in the congress for years have wanted to do this, now they have the POTUS pushing for it
Plus it's such good headlines (in their mind)

ultimately zero consequences at the polls too

Let me be clear, I'm very opposed to this Martial law that is now going to be the reality in DC
I told my oldest kid, I would stay out of DC while this is going on

Trump said. "Something's out of control. But we're going to put it in control very quickly, like we did in the southern border. I'm announcing a historic action to rescue our nation's capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam and squalor. And worse, this is Liberation Day in DC, and we're going to take our capital back."

asking for a friend...what if you like the bedlam part, can we keep that?

happy Liberation Day in DC!
what are the customs associated with this day....wrong answers only

Trump upended decades of U.S. national security policy, creating an entirely new category of corporate risk, when he made a deal with Nvidia (NVDA.O), opens new tab to give the U.S. government a cut of its sales in exchange for resuming exports of banned AI chips to China.

So I won't have to try to pick you out in the crowd at any DC shows?

So this advice it to my 19 yr old, who seems to love trouble, where as I avoid it instinctually
I still plan on attending shows and going to DC, but protesting now seems a little more dangerous
I'm not going to let trump ruin Rocktober 2025

wise words IMO

@BillKristol
Centrists should understand progressives aren’t going away, nor will all be convinced of the errors of their ways.

Progressives should understand centrists aren’t going away, nor will all be convinced of the errors of their ways.

The anti-fascist common front needs each wing to tolerate the other.

I don’t know about that….i feel like that’s the same trap Kamala and Hillary fell into talking Orangeman scary bad…

They need to talk about inflation - Americans getting relatively poor and growing inequality- and helping people. The only ones with any ideas are the progressives.

And deficits…hit them on spending
