i could absolutely see someone whipping trump up into a frenzy over this.  if he can demand that the gulf of mexico be renamed, why not demand that the order of the english alphabet be changed??

it's embarrassing how long it took me to figure this out.  at first i thought "why?  the US either wouldn't have to change its name since United States of America would still work; or: any name change wouldn't affect its place in the list: United States of America, Canada, Greenland and Panama (USACGP!), or United States of the Americas, United States of America and Annexed Territories, or..."  then it dawned on me.  duh.

DeJoy kind of sucked during Trump 1. I forget the debacle. He did fine during Biden 1 and done.

I can’t believe - but I can- they are going to destroy the postal service. On many levels it works very well. Everyone likes to complain but delivery is fast and inexpensive relative to the rest of the world.

We should insist, no DEMAND, that they use the proper name of our country: THE united states of America
that would move us up 11 spots to 171 and wouldn't have to absorb any other countries to increase our ranking

It is a god damn big fucking deal that the Sec of Defense and other top of the chart US security staff are using Signal to discuss war plans.  I mean what the acutal fuck.  Of course they are trying to blame the author.  These are highly classified interactions and should be ON RECORD within the gov't, not some free texting app?!!?!

Everyone likes to complain but delivery is fast and inexpensive relative to the rest of the world.

magas/trumpers/far right/etc don't give a flying eff about how things are in other countries.  saying "the USA is X times/percent better than the rest of the world" is meaningless.  they see only their costs, their pain.  inflation in the US was the lowest in the world and the US got out of the pandemic better than any other country - yet based on voter feedback you'd think we were up there with argentina and turkey.
