He sued them $10bil because they aired a response from Kamala that was edited?

at the time they said  CBS called the litigation “completely without merit” and said that it would “vigorously defend against it.*”
was widely viewed by legal experts as frivolous

*unless he wins and we have a major deal on the table that he could quash

It's a non-0% chance that the library will be located at Mar-A-Lago, right?
WHAT?

I'm sure to troll the Libs, it will have an entrance via the bathroom

at very least, the land will definitely be purchased at some exorbitant rate to some third party shell company (that is owned by the trump family)

Yes I get that/ I haven’t been in the woods the past 10 days- but some of the cases of obsequiousness are more extreme than others…

Is bribery really something that should be done out in the open!? And don’t these rulings open up the doors for others or are their impact strictly limited to Trump’s pocketbook?

Honestly not sure but maybe I would rather they do it Latin American style with a bag of cash thrown over the fence at Mar a lago so I don’t have to hear about it.. this pretense is so gross

I haven’t left my house since going to the orthopedic surgeon on the 20th. It wasn’t just a broken arm…I got pretty banged up and cause of my blood cancer and associated medication I bruise easily and heal very slowly. Being older probably doesn’t help either.

In other great news my brother in law who works in home building in Texas got laid off.

With Trump a lot of the time he announces stuff and then it changes but I can’t even imagine the havoc such tariffs would create. Aren’t these our three biggest trading partners?

Exclusive: Musk aides lock government workers out of computer systems at US agency, sources say

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/musk-aides-lock-government-workers-out-computer-systems-us-agency-sources-say-2025-01-31/

the lowlights

Aides to Elon Musk charged with running the U.S. government human resources agency have locked career civil servants out of computer systems that contain the personal data of millions of federal employees, according to two agency officials.

The systems include a vast database called Enterprise Human Resources Integration, which contains dates of birth, Social Security numbers, appraisals, home addresses, pay grades and length of service of government workers, the officials said.

A team including current and former employees of Musk assumed command of OPM on Jan. 20, the day Trump took office. They have moved sofa beds onto the fifth floor of the agency's headquarters, which contains the director's office and can only be accessed with a security badge or a security escort, one of the OPM employees said.

so will the ruling party have thoughts on this apparent hostile takeover... oh ffs never mind

also, there are reports that the email system hastily put in place easily hacked and NOAA is getting email blasts that aren't verified from outsider WHEEE

Soooo…it’s been 10 days….

Is it
1. About what you expected
2. Better than what you expected
3. Worse than you expected

who is NKOTB blaming?
1. Biden
2. Trump
3. Israel

Would you prefer Vance as president?
1. Yes
2. No
3. Not sure
4. Don’t care

Will things return to normal or is this the new normal for America?
1. We have crossed the Rubicon (no return)
2. We can still turn back
3. Not sure

Is it
1. About what you expected: Trump is doing his classic mix of petty slights, incompetent buffoonery and truly horrendous, evil shit.  And facebook libs are focused on the things that matter: outrage about losers like John Bolton or Mark Milley losing their security detail (GOOD) or Meta censoring #democrats on Instagram (FAKE, you can literally try it yourself!) or Facebook forcing Trump posts into their feeds (NO SHIT, i see all sorts of dumb stuff I don't care about seeing!) or pardoning the J6 folks (WHO CARES, this isn't even in the top 100 awful things he's done as president, let alone his entire disgusting life).  Not a peep about the actual horrors against trans folks or migrants or anything else.  Eyes on the prize, as always!

who is NKOTB blaming?
If you're not 100% blaming Democrats, I don't know what to tell you.  They beat Trump (vote-wise) TWICE!  He's proven to be beatable!  In a just universe, outright losing to Trump after getting more votes than him twice would mean the immediate dissolution of your political party.  Democrats are just incapable and frankly unwilling to rise to the current moment.

Would you prefer Vance as president?
2. No: At least Trump is funny.

Will things return to normal or is this the new normal for America?
1. We have crossed the Rubicon (no return): We're 100% cooked, but then again, we have been for a long time.  Trump's just the next step, but this decline has been building for decades.
