New unit of measurement for your pleasure
@Jerusalem_Post
An asteroid the size of 12 and a half fully grown gorillas is set to pass the Earth on Wednesday, May 21, in a very close flyby.
why the 1/2?
I mean is there really a big difference between 12 FGGs and 12.5 FGGs when a rock is hurtling towards earth?
also, there are many types of gorillas out there and they vary in sizes
at least with giraffes, there are really only one type so there is a standard size of a fully grown giraffe (sometimes called the "Standardised Giraffe Unit" (SGU) )
Edit- I stand corrected:
There are currently recognized to be four distinct species of giraffes, with several subspecies.
Masai giraffe: Can grow up to 18–20 feet tall.
Reticulated giraffe: Ranges from 14–18 feet.
Northern giraffe:12–15 feet.
Southern giraffe:16 feet.
Now I want a Northern Giraffe, I'd be like "look at my dwarf giraffe"
I'm beginning to think these people are not serious about units of measurment
