Hotel Yorba has been vacated due to unsafe living condition. It will be boarded-up until it is sold and repaired to a degree that will pass safety inspections.
The Yorba stands as a landmark as seen from the Fisher Freeway near the Clark Street exit. The most recognizable feature of the building is the large sign supported on a metal structure that says "Hotel Yorba."
Many of the Yorba's original architectural details remain intact, such as the stained leaded milk glass above the main entrance. to the sides of the entrance are tall columns bearing a frieze inscribed with the name "Hotel Yorba."
Now, as the 2001 song written by Jack White once predicted, all the Yorba has now "is vacancy."
