Anyone remember Utopia at 14th and U? Pam Bricker sang there a lot…she then sang with Thievery…including my favorite song of theirs “Lebanese Blonde”! Miss you Pam

The artwork is by Utopia owner Jamal…he was a cool dude…

This comp has a song recorded at the Psychedelly which I think was in Silver Spring by the Slickee Boys in 1978…they would go on to play Atlantis/930 a lot

Probably around this time was Fugazi’s popular peak. They could have signed with any number of majors but opted not to…Around this time you couldn’t read an article or interview of Pearl Jam without Eddie Vedder going apeshit about how great Fugazi was and PJ was the biggest band in the US at the time.
