this one actually charted!

A Very Special Christmas Live is the fourth in the A Very Special Christmas series of Christmas music-themed compilation albums produced to benefit the Special Olympics. The album was recorded live in Washington, D.C. in December 1998 at a benefit party held by then-President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Special Olympics. It was released on 19 October 1999, and production was overseen by Bobby Shriver for A&M Records. It peaked at #100 in December 1999 Billboard album chart.

Not finding details where it was recorded...Lincoln bedroom?

edit...It was in fact at the white house, a recording exits too

goodness, I know lot of 'boots' but some of these are raido broadcasts, so not some audience recording

Wonder if Seth went or had something to do with that show

this recording is pretty damn good

there are some 2lp vinyl boots that I may look into procuring
their 'concert' album was this tour and it only has 10 songs (this recording has 21 songs) and some fans are claiming this is by far the better document of that tour

Wow this too! looks like it was released by CBS?!

 CBS isn't THE CBS

Related....Richard Nixon introducing JC at the white house 1970 (worth the listen, RN mentions putting JC's son in the Lincoln bed...nice callback!)

Great Nixon quote (after admitting he knew little about JC and his music)
"But I do know that he was born in Arkansas, and he now lives in Tennessee, but he belongs to the whole country. The music that he represents tonight is called country music and western music. But I think it’s really American music, because it speaks in stories about Americans in a way that touches the hearts of all Americans: North, East, West and South.”

i've heard a good number of shows from the 84 tour and i think that is the best one.  honestly it's my go-to over 'concert' because of completeness.
