ok only one DC date on this 50 list (little feat), but there are a few in here I've never heard of before and going to check out
Surprised at the amount of Jazz in a RS list

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/50-greatest-live-albums-of-all-time-173246/

Personally I'd add Live Seeds, I'm sure there are a few others

now playing:  Sinatra at the Sands

Reality is for whatever reason not a lot of famous live recordings in DC.

I think for a long time even playing DC was anathema.

Sinatra at the Sands to me is kind of unlistenable because of the horribly dated patter and shtick between songs. It’s icky and goes on way too long!  But people back then loved it. Sinatra concerts were a show.

I will take 1962 Paris any day. Or 57 Seattle.

Waiting for Columbus was mostly recorded at Lisner as I recall….

It might be the most famous and highest selling DC live album….

It’s very cool  that DC embraced Little Feat more than any other city.  Huge point of pride for the culture. Like Little Feat/Lowell George were musician’s musicians, DC in certain ways had a culture’s culture, if that makes sense (which I’m sure it doesn’t).

Anyway this is a great 1974 HFS Cerphe interview with Lowell George and Linda Ronstadt that captures the vibe
