i know this won't make me popular here, but here goes anyways: for crazy over-subscribed shows (like foo fighters, JT, etc), maybe the 9:30 should consider tasking (brace for it) Ticketmaster with the selling job.  Tickets.com just doesn't seem to be able to deal with the traffic.

25+ minutes after I hit the link, I'm still getting count-downs.  the show MUST be sold-out by now.  normally i'm happy with tickets.com, slightly lower fees that ticketbastard, but at times like these I'd pay a bit more for better service.

 flame on.
I didn't get as far as service charges.  I saw the "type this slightly deformed number to confirm you're not a bot" window, typed in the number, and then saw the "high volume" message over and over.  Eventually it said "tickets not available in the quantity you want" message.  I kept trying until a minute or two ago...I thought I remembered some people claiming to get tickets for the B&S concerts last fall even after it was "sold out"...apparently tickets are thrown back into the system sometimes when credit card numbers are mis-typed or don't go through properly.

When I saw the "virtual waiting room" screen when I first logged on at 9:59am, I figured I was in trouble...does Ticketmaster have a similar method for high-demand shows?  I'm disappointed I didn't get tickets, but there's also a "thrill of the hunt" element to getting tickets for shows.  I tried...girlfriend will understand...hopefully

this is a bunch of crap.

I didn't even move past the waiting room; my friends did and they got online after me... we all got screwed out of tickets though

who the hell did get tickets?  9:30 probably reserved 90% of the tickets and left the rest for us.

Service charge was $17.00 and it'll cost another $4.00 to be mailed to your place.

 Keep trying!

huh?  that's ticketbastard-type surcharges!

let's keep spamming those CL bastards (check ebay too).  that telephone number is for a professional ticket seller.  the first CL email address isn't working anymore.

yeah, they make you wait for a a few minutes during high demand, but you get an answer quickly.  they just have the server capacity to deal with massive demand.  tickets.com is great for 99% of the 9:30's shows... just a few need a bigger and better system.

Keep trying!

I got through and 11:35am and a friend got through at 11:40am. Go directly to the tickets.com site and locate the event. It will indicate "currently unavailable", after you request but just keep hitting refresh... reset the ticket quantity to 2 and click continue.

Keep trying again and again. I must have tried 30 times within a few minutes before I finally got through at 11:30am.  Then my friend tried the same thing after me from the same computer and got through as well after about 20 refreshes.

 Keep trying!

I've been doing that for 2 hours. If tickets do magically appear I'll get so confused and probably click refresh again.

I just tried the 703 number on the tickets.com website, telling me to try the 800 number.  Called that, no dice.  I give up.
