They have absolutely no chance tonight.  Am I right about this?  Can you think of a game 6 meltdown that didn't cost the team a seven game series?
well, the classic is still game 6 of the 1986 world series. . .the red sox were just out of it in game 7.  course, bruce hurst is no kerry wood.

then again, the red sox won game 6 of the 1975 series when they were down 3 in the 8th inning, but the reds came back and won game 7.

I thought the classic in game 6 of last years world series was pretty good too, but I had completely forgotten about 1975.  Good one.

I think Wood will pitch well, but the Cub pen will fold the lead late.  That would make for a good post - predict how the curse will unravel the Cubs tonight.

well, thank you for assuming that i know nothing about soccer. . .i could say the exact same thing about ignorant red coats and baseball.     :)   [/b]
Let me educate you a little, in the rest of the world it's called "football" and played by men, not women.

I was at some historical battle ground in PA.....Valley Forge I think, and read that the British weren't really interested in the revolutionary war so sent out a bunch of German mercaneries in to fight as red coats. SO! The French basically beat the Germans in that one. Has Germany ever won a war?

Just like soccer, you could start watching it, read ten books, come back and the score would still be 0-0.

That would've sufficed!

BTW..Did you hear that the Cubs organization have fired one of the hotdog vendors after last night's game. Evidently his ketchup bottle wasn't completely full so when he squeezed it, it made that fart noise and put the Cubs players off....the end result being they lost game seven.

Well, they havent won in 95 years for a reason.  They dont even have a curse, unless you just call being bad a curse.

I booked my hotel in Boston this morning and will be heading north next weekend if we can make it that far.

But what has taken so long for MLB to see this?  Nobody up in the pen again?  Two straight nights?  Unbelievable.

Now lets predict how the Sox will fall apart tonight.  Any takers?
