Who besides Brennser and myself are talking this album up?  For me it's a solid four star record that isn't going to change the world, but the song writing and arrangements are solid.  It's also one of those that takes a couple times to sink in records....  Besides nkotbie is a Andrew W.K. fan so what do you expect  ;)

 My overrated choice is The Raconteurs...  It's just not a good as it could have been.

Nobody else, I guess.  But based on some of the conversation on here, I was expecting a sleeper hit.

 Of course, this should be an indication of what kind of esteem I hold you both in  :D .

You hipsters always abandon bands as soon as they are on top.

let me guess:

 3 Hell Hath No Fury by Clipse  2006 91

 what do i win?! [/b]
That album's borderline fuckin' amazin'.  Making you feel empathy for someone that moves yay is a new emotion in hip-hop . . . . [/b]
[/b]
As opposed to your normal drug dealer tales in hip-hop which are built on bravado, there's a moral spin/fiber to the rhymes on the Clipse's album.  In laymen's terms, by the end of the album, you empathize with the "Bad Guy".  (i.e. Rooting for Tony Soprano, even though he bludgeons cats for a living.)  Hope that clears it up for you . . .

What didn't you like about the Raconteurs album????  I thought it was pretty hot.  Classic, no.  But definitely hot.  A solid album.  Which aside of Wolfmother, I couldn't say for a lotta rock albums this year.  Even Tool's new album was kinda eh . . . But I guess when you drop albums like theirs, there's gotta be a plateau somewhere.

i was really rEaLlY ReAlLy REALLY looking forward to hearing the Raconteurs album, being a long time fan of Brendan Benson and whats his name.... However, the record was a huge letdown and disappointment.  Besides the obvious singles it sounds unfinished and like a bunch of demos.  It may rAwk but it's half assed effort from a talented bunch... Wolfmother did the better job releasing a Raconteurs album then they did.

 If you want the RaWk checkout the new Cheap Trick, Keene Brothers and As Fast As...

I'm going to go with that Band of Horses record.  A couple of good moments (The Funeral, The Great Salt Lake), and a lot of filler, I thought.
