Yeah Yeah Yeahs was this year, right?  Gads, it is all the songs that I disliked on the first album.

The Beatles "Love".  I don't know, it just seems "wrong".

i second and third this ... every brendan benson solo album and every white stripes album is better than the raconteurs album ... not a good sign for a "super band"

Who besides Brennser and myself are talking this album up?[/b]
Well, I have, too.... But you guys were certainly the pioneers.

I forgot about that one, mostly because after 2-3 spins I decided I didn't like it and it disappeared.

LOL.  None. Just getting buzzed off the cocktail known as work, boredom, free time, & high-speed net access.

Stadium Aracadium - RHCP... I am done with this band.. finished..
word.  boring.  i gave it to a friend after a few listens.  double albums are a no-no in the first place and this album makes the case for a federal prohibition on them.

Right here buddy.

Not the best album in the world.  Not my favorite of '06.  But it's relatively solid, and they are great live.

I guess all opinions are subjective.

Check out this review from popmatters about Margot @ CMJ:

MARGOT AND THE NUCLEAR SO AND SOS @ Rebel
An appearance by Thax Douglas signals that this is a Chicago band, big and orchestrated like Head of Femur, sweetly fractious like Bound Stems. The hall is packed just for them, full of 20-something college djs who can sing along to their baroque-pop ditties. Itâ??s bland, emo-leaning stuff, though, made mildly entertaining by the antics of an auxiliary percussionist, who bangs the bass drum taiko style and executes a simian tambourine dance. Nothing special but, given the rapid fans, quite possibly about to be huge.

If that was the case I would have given up on them after Blood Sugar Sex Magic..  alas that did not happen..

It started happening after they stopped making engaging music which STARTED on the By The way album.

Gave the band another chance, and they unloaded twice the amount of drivel in the form of a double album filled mostly with forgetable pablum.  No not the worst album I have heard, but this band bores me to tears now, and that is just wrong.
