well I for one am very happy - another well deserved title - no one can argue that we didn;t play the most attractive football over the course of the year

10 titles in 16 seasons is an astonishing achievement for SAF

 another important number

17.....total number of league championships we have now won.....one more and Liverscum lose yet another one of their fading pretensions to greatness

As evidenced by being up 0-1 and still keeping the foot on the pedal to get that second goal.  Chelski would never have done that, and that's how you draw 1-1.  Good for Ryan Giggs too - his contributions were very under the radar this year with the attention going to the three kids up front.

John Terry got hurt?  Didn't even notice....

What I did notice is that the Champions League final appeared in my guide over the weekend as being in HD. Sweet.

Amazing huh?  Brian McBride's contributions will never be recognized as they should, but his return saved that season for Fulham.  5 straight wins, 3 on the road!

what?? ARe SMackie and Mankie still drunk??  :)

I tell ya - yesterday was one of the longest days of my life - stuck in jury selection all day getting updates on my phones - get out just as extra timeis starting - get home just as ronnie misses the penalty - basically think we're fucked - and then boom, we're CHampions of Europe again!!!

I guess Chelskzzz are ESPN's babies...not once during regulation did they show the United supporters but we had the Moscovites who were most certainly coerced into the stadium wearing blue and white were rammed down our throats about every 5 minutes or so.

The commentators must've been watching a different game than I was because you'd think chelskzz were playing a bunch of trash cans spread about the field. REALITY CHECK...United dominated the first half, chelskzzz the second and United extra time. The game could've gone either way but the best team in Europe over the course of the competition won the final..

When Anelka walked up to take the penalty I said to my wife "we've won" You could see on his face and from his body language he had no confidence in taking that kick. As for Terry.. HA HA YOU FUCKING PRICK!!! No sympathy here because he's nothing short of a thug. Did Becks get any sympathy when he slipped taking a pk during the world cup???

I lost totaly respect for Joe Cole..what a fucking cry-baby. I used to think he was the exception at Stamford Bridge but it looks like it wore off on him.

MANCHESTER UNITED, CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE 2008{b]

I believe if you go on ebay there's a Stamford Bridge trophy cabinet up for auction.

Congratulations to Manchester United, the best team in Europe this year, no doubt. As usual, every time Manchester United is there you have a great final, the one yesterday reminded me of the 1999 final against Bayern Munich. I just hope we have a chance to play Manchester United next year in the Champions League.

With games like this, I confirm my preference for the Champions League over any other tournament, I am quite sure the Euro this coming month won't have games like this one.
