I would have guessed Norway, or maybe Sweden, so Finland is not a big surprise.
 
 I wonder what exactly causes the Scandinavians to be metalheads?  The Viking history?  The lack of sun for a portion of the year?  The ice and the snow?  The hot springs blow?

 Finns are also the coffee-drinkingest nation.
 
 They also have a high suicide rate.  Go figure.

its because of all the white people!
 also look at all the other kinds of music that comes out of that area...you would listen to metal too...

Something like that... a lot of those Scandinavian metal bands (in particular the ones from Norway and Finland) use a lot of Nordic imagery.
