venues in NYC...
« on: June 15, 2005, 09:54:00 am »
Hey, going to NYC in a few weekends, seeing Spamalot, wanted to catch a show while I was up there. Know about Bowery Ballroom and the more well known venues; any recs about smaller places to check out?

There's two that I've heard are pretty good....one is called "Center Park" or something like that, and the other "Madisons Garden Square"
   ;)

another place i like to go is North Six in Brooklyn.  not the best place to see a show, but the crowd is always entertaining to say the least, and the drinks are cheap (for NYC).

you can probably give the Cutting Room a miss, went there to see a friend do an industry showcase and beyond the cover there was a $10 minimum.  and you would never know the place was owned by chris noth, seeing is there are not one but two pictures of him hanging on the walls...
